Dr. Prestigiacomo graduated with her DVM from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She went on to complete a one-year internship in large animal ambulatory medicine and surgery with the Tufts Veterinary Field Service in Woodstock, CT. She spent the following year working with research sheep, cows and pigs in collaboration with UMass Chan Medical School to help develop cures for rare diseases using gene therapy. Dr. Prestigiacomo has long been interested in companion large animal practice, and since graduating veterinary school, she has especially fallen in love with small ruminant medicine and maternal/neonatal care in all species. She finds teamwork, education, client interactions, and collaborative medicine to be the most rewarding parts of her job.
In her free time, Dr. Prestigiacomo enjoys birding, technical theater, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
