Dr. Courtney Kennedy has always been interested in pursuing a career in large animal practice with a passion for equine sports medicine, lameness, and preventative care. She believes that education, communication, and teamwork are all cornerstones of a successful relationship with clients. Dr. Kennedy is a native of Trumbull, Connecticut and has been involved in the equestrian world her entire life. She is an active competing member of the hunter jumper circuit and you may even recognize her (or her horse). Prior to attending veterinary school, Dr. Kennedy had many years of experience as both a small animal and equine veterinary technician. In 2018, she graduated with her Master of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of New Haven. Dr. Kennedy attended veterinary school at St. George’s University, and completed her clinical year studies at Auburn University.
When not working, Dr. Kennedy can be found teaching as an undergraduate associate professor at Post University, spending time with her horses, or enjoying the days with her newly expanded family. Dr. Kennedy has been involved in the equestrian community since a young age and can still be seen with her horse, Lion Hearted, showing on the hunter/jumper circuit.
