“The wish to keep an animal usually arises out of general longing for a bond with nature...analogous with those human functions that go hand in hand with love and friendship in the purest and noblest forms“ Nobel Laureate Konrad Lorenz (Hines, 2003)
As a veterinarian, I have the opportunity to enhance the human animal bond by helping animals live long and happy lives. I graduated from the NYS College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in 1986. I joined Salmon Brook Veterinary Hospital in 1987 to do ambulatory work on large animals then transitioned to small animal medicine and surgery around 2002. I enjoy riding my horses, walking my dogs and feeding my cat! My husband, Dr. John Violette, and I have two sons and live in North Granby.
